Get on your Bike!
Friday 13 August 2010Ty Gobaith are asking you to ‘Get on Your Bike’ in order to raise money for the hospice. The latest fundraiser is a sponsored 24 mile bike ride on Sunday 19th September from Caernarfon to Bryncir and is kindly sponsored by Dafydd Hardy Estate Agents
‘Get on Your Bike’ is an event for all the family to enjoy and all the monies raised will make a difference to terminally ill children, their families and also local people affected by trauma.
The sponsored bike ride takes place on the off road Lôn Eifion Cycle Route, Caernarfon to Bryncir. It costs £10 per adult to enter and under 16’s can take part for free.

“Get on Your Bike is guaranteed to be a fantastic day whatever the weather. It is not a race or a competition; we want all our riders to experience the breathtaking views whilst having a good time with their family or friends. Places on the sponsored bike ride need to be reserved so I urge anyone interested to contact the fundraising office in order to avoid disappointment”
Lôn Eifion is a green avenue of native trees and plants which stretches between the busy historical town of Caernarfon and the rural village of Bryncir to the south. A combination of tarmac (Llanwnda - Graianog) and compacted dust surfaces has been provided along its 12 mile length.
The path is off road for most of the route, where there is a cross in the road you will be assisted by stewards wearing high visibility jackets
Dafydd Hardy said “We are really looking forward to the event and have submitted a Dafydd Hardy team, including myself. We hope that the community gets behind us and joins in the fun or helps by sponsoring one of the team” Dafydd continued.
