Paralympic silver medallist Mickey Bushell is to start one of the three Hope House/Ty Gobaith Santa Fun Runs, taking place this Sunday around the region.
The young athlete, who came second in the 100 metre sprint in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, will send hundreds of Santas on their way around a three mile course in Oswestry Town Centre at 5pm.
The Oswestry event is the finale, in a day that starts with the one mile Ty Gobaith Santa Run Run along Llandudno Prom at 11am and progresses on to a one mile Hope House Santa Fun Run at Alyn Waters Country Park, near Wrexham at 2pm.
Already more than 1,000 people have signed up for the fun runs, which are hoped to raise more than £100,000 to help support terminally ill local children and their families through Hope House at Oswestry and Ty Gobaith at Conwy.
This year generous sponsorship from leading retail jeweller Glogau Gold has met all the costs of staging the events, meaning all entrance fees and sponsorship money will go straight towards helping the children.
It’s not too late to register – just download a form now from the Santa Run page on our website and either send it to our Fundraising Offices or take it to your nearest Hope House shop.
See you at the starting line!
