When a parent is told their child will not live to be an adult it is the start of an agonising journey. A childhood terminal illness challenges every belief, emotion and dream a parent may have for their special son or daughter.

Hope House Children’s Hospices – Hope House in Oswestry and Ty Gobaith in Conwy – provide practical and emotional support to families facing the pain of losing their precious child.

It costs £3.5 million a year to run both hospices which rely almost entirely upon donations as well as many generous individuals who fundraise on our behalf by organising fantastic fundraising events across the regions. Join us at the Midsummer Cabaret Ball a the Wynnstay Hotel, Oswestry. This glitzy event is being organised by the Very Nice Production company (and we agree!) in aid of Hope House. Start your evening with a refreshing strawberry cocktail on the lawns of the Hotel followed by a sumptuous 3 course meal followed by coffee. As well as an auction, raffle and disco, there will be a fantastic caberet performed by The Very Nice Production Company. Priced at only 30 pounds tickets will sell out quickly. Join us for this year's Fun Run and Walk in Hollinswood, Telford. At only 2 miles all thefamily can join in with the Hope House team. The event starts at 11am at the start of Hollinswood and Randlay Fun Day near the Hollinswood Neighbourhood Centre. There is no registration fee and all that we ask is for people to raise as much sponsorship as possible to help us make the most of short and precious lives. What better way to celebrate the achievements of Ty Gobaith and look forward to the future than by having the International Opera star, Rhys Meirion  is co-ordinating a three day festival- Festival of Hope/ Gŵyl Gobaith - to be held at Gwysaney Hall, Mold on June 26, 27 and 28.
 
The weekend will kick-off with Comedy in the Park on Friday 26. Its official we are going to laugh, with the line up that is Silky, Milton Jones, Tudur Owen and top comedian Jason Manford from Chanel 4 panel show, 8 out of 10 cats. Tickets priced at £20.
 
 Classics in the Park is Saturday 27 with Rhys Meirion himself being joint by Shan Cothi, David Kempster, Cor Rhuthun, London International Orchestra, Northop Silver Bank, Moreton Hall Ladies Choir and Ewloe Green Primary School Choir.  Tickets priced: £27 for promenade £ 40 seated.
 
This weekend will be one that should not be missed!

The Band of West Mercia Constabulary invite you to the Belvidere School concert at the brand new Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury. Along side school children they will be performing a selection of  music from the world of brass, popular music, TV and Stage. This fabulous evening will also include a performance of the musical Hoodwink based on the story of Robin Hood.
