Top retail jeweller Clogau Welsh Gold …is helping Santa to have a ho-ho happy Christmas! The company is sponsoring Santa Fun Runs in a bid to raise £100,000 for two hospices - Hope House in Oswestry and Ty Gobaith in Conwy - that provide care for terminally-ill children and their families.
This year there will be three Santa Fun Runs all on December 7 in Llandudno at 11am, Wrexham at 2pm and Oswestry at 5pm.
The sponsorship from Clogau Gold –whose mine is famous for providing the Welsh gold for wedding rings worn by The Queen and Princess Diana - has covered the costs of staging the two events.
Clogau Gold Managing Director Ben Roberts said: “Ty Gobaith and Hope House hospices both do marvellous work for those who need it most, and to be able to support them is a great privilege.
“A couple of the Clogau staff, (me included) are currently dusting off our trainers to take part. We will be running dressed in gold Santa suits, so if you see us, give us a cheer – and some cash - and help make the day a huge success.”

In 2006 we raised over £50,000 and in 2007 over £75,000. This fabulous sponsorship from Clogau Gold is a tremendous boost to our event.
