Award-winning chef, Bryn, visits Ty Gobaith!
Tuesday 03 August 2010Cookie cutters at the ready, biscuit dough steady and we're off...on our fundraising challenge of the year!
We've produced a unique Hope House shaped cookie cutter and are appealing to all our supporters to help us Take the Biscuit! In a nutshell we'd like you and your friends, family or work colleagues to bake biscuits and use your culinary creations to raise money for Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith.
Children at Tŷ Gobaith enjoyed some top flight help with their cooking session in May when award-winning chef Bryn Williams - Proprietor of Odette’s in Primrose Hill, London - dropped by the hospice to launch his support of Tŷ Gobaith’s Take the Biscuit campaign (pictured below).
Take the biscuit is a fun and easy way to raise money if you register today we will send you a free cookie cutter in the shape of Hope House Children’s Hospices logo. You can bake your favourite biscuits to sell to friends, family, work colleagues or even complete strangers at a school fete, country fair or a car boot sale!
Did you know that for every 20 cookies sold for £1 could pay for one hour of specialist physiotherapy to help the children feel more comfortable and to assist with their relaxation and movements? Or 30 cookies sold could pay for a memorable birthday treat and gift for a terminally ill child. Birthdays are especially important for life limited children; they mean so much to the child and their family.

Erin Fflur from Clawddnewydd has already been busy in the kitchen, and along with her friends Mari Williams and Tesni Richards (pictured below) recently organised a coffee morning in Ruthin as well as holding a 'Sweet and Biscuit' stall at Brynhyfryd School. They managed to raise the amazing sum of £210 towards our Take the Biscuit campaign and are already looking forward to arranging the same again soon!
The staff of Buttered Crust in Llangollen (pictured below) raised over £500 with their recent cake sale in aid of Hope House Children's Hospices - Well done guys!
