If you go down to the woods in June....
Wednesday 18 March 2009Harry's Teddy Bear Walk & Duck Race
After Harry Jones died suddenly in his sleep at the age of just four in September, 2005, his parents, Julia and Jeff, were determined to raise money in aid of Hope House Hospice in Oswestry, which helped them come to terms with their loss.
Their latest venture is Harry's Teddy Bear Walk around Nant Mill Country Park on Sunday 6th June from 12 o'clock onwards
The walk costs just £1 to enter and all accompanying adults and teddy bears go free! On the way around the route there will be a number of exciting challenges for the children to try to complete to raise money for Hope House.
On the day there will also be a duck race on the river - costing £1 per duck - with some great prizes on offer.
Families are being well advised to bring along a picnic and to make an afternoon of the event!
Julia said: "It promises to be a great day out and we are just keeping our fingers crossed for good weather".
Hope House fundraiser Rachel Jones said: "We are very grateful to Julia and Jeff and Harry's Helpers for their continued support. They have raised almost £30,000 for us since they started and it is wonderful that the memory of Harry lives on through the efforts of his family and friends. This is sure to be a great family day out and we are very much looking forward to it, you'd be quackers not to join in!".
