Our Welshpool Canal Walk has become a popular event in our yearly calendar!  This year's event will be taking place on Sunday 22nd September and will be in memory of the incredible Teresa Thomas, one of our Hope House mums who organised the first ever event. Tereas's daughter Kiera regularly visits Hope House for respite care, read her story here

We invite anyone who is up to the challenge to step out with us in memory of Tease, as she was affectionately known, and walk in her footsteps. The 8 mile route will follow the beautiful Montgomeryshire Canal from Welshpool to Garthmyl, on the edge of Berriew. The tranquil canal is a true haven for wildlife such as otters and water voles. The walk passes Powysland Museum in a carefully restored canal warehouse, the medieval Powys Castle and gardens and the Llyn Coed Y Dinas Nature Reserve. After 4 miles of walking you will reach The Horseshoes Inn, the halfway point. Toilets will be available and refreshments can be purchased before you turnaround and make your way back down the canal.

Registration is free and there is no minimum sponsorship, but we do ask you to raise what you can to help us continue to support our special children and their families.

The walk starts at 10am. All children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Dogs are welcome.
