The Morrisons Foundation has kindly donated a massive £21,297 to refurbish the dining room used by children and families at Hope House.

The support from the Morrisons Foundation will enable the us to redecorate the dining room, creating a bright, clean environment with a modern design that the children can enjoy.

Height-adjustable tables will be installed, allowing children in wheelchairs to easily raise or lower tables so that everyone can eat together.

The heart of the hospice

Karen Wright, Director of Care, said: “We are absolutely delighted with this grant from the Morrisons Foundation. The dining room is such an important place at Hope House, where children, families, volunteers and staff come together to eat every day. However, our current dining furniture is nearly 25 years old and urgently needs replacing. This refurbishment will take us forward for the next 25 years.”

Local support

Rachael Roberts and Kiley Waters, Community Champions at the Morrisons store in Oswestry presented the donation to the charity.

Rachael said: “I’m really pleased that we were able to help such a great local charity.  Knowing that our support will make a genuine difference the children that receive their expert care in our community really does make me proud.”

Kiley added, “Helping local charities is at the heart of what the Foundation is all about and I’m so happy that we can provide this grant to such a wonderful local cause.”

A thank you to our local Morrisons stores and the Morrisons Foundation for their incredible support. This donation will make a real difference to the children and families who visit Hope House, and for that, we are truly grateful.
