Job Overview

Hope House believe that no one should face the death of a child alone. In order to meet the growing demand for our services we have to double our fundraising income in the next 8 years. Join us as an Area Fundraiser and work with the local community to ensure that we are there to support every local child and family who needs us.

We are looking for an Area Fundraiser to join our team, focussing on:

  • Proactively raising income from the local community including individuals, friends groups, corporates, community groups and schools
  • Initiating and developing innovative fundraising initiatives and events which capture the imagination of our supporters, adding diversity to community, corporate and individual fundraising
  • Engaging with and establishing new and existing relationships within the local community to encourage ongoing support and funds and increase supporter retention.
  • Sharing the incredible stories from our brave children and families

As an Area Fundraiser, you will strive to offer the best experience to our supporters. You will be responsible for all aspects of event management as well as financial targets set within an agreed expenditure budget, undertaking analytical work to evaluate the success of appeals, events and promotions. These will be delivered through a range of channels, including digital and virtual campaigns, across a variety of fundraising programmes.

We are looking for a well organised individual who has experience of:

  • Working for a charity
  • Professional fundraising or sales
  • Working within a team and building team spirit
  • Building a wide and effective network of contacts, relating to people at all levels
