Following the death of a child all families who use Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith are offered support. This may be provided by experienced members of the care team, social workers, counsellors or sibling support workers, depending on the particular support the family feel that they need.
Other families in the community who have not previously received support from Hope House Children’s Hospices can access support if they have been affected by the death of a baby, child or young person (up to the age of 25 years old when they died). Their death may have occurred in any circumstance. This support can be received by children, young people and adults who live in Shropshire, West Cheshire, Mid and North Wales.
Counselling and bereavement support will be arranged in specialist counselling centres and if appropriate, in school for children and young people.
The Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Counselling service is British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accredited and support is provided by an experienced counselling team.
Referrals can be made by hospice team members, individuals, family members or professionals by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or contacting;
