Every week three local families face their biggest fear and their child dies. Hope House Children’s Hospices want to be there for every child and family and we are driven by the belief that no one should face the death of a child alone.
As a leading charity for children, young people, and their families, we provide clinical, practical, and emotional support, putting the children and families at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking a Head of Finance who wants to use their expertise and integrity to help Hope House support every child and family that needs us.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this is an integral role for the charity. You will be responsible for:
· Maintaining and developing effective financial controls
· Production of Management & Financial Accounts
· Management of a small sized transactional finance team responsible for efficient processing of payments and income
· Management of payroll for 250 staff
· Commercial analysis and business partnering with key stakeholders
· Communicating financial and management information across the charity
We are looking for someone, with relevant financial management experience. Experience of Sage50 Accounts would be an advantage.
You will be forward thinking, with a continuous improvement mind-set. You will be personable, with strong relationship building skills – you need to be confident at engaging with a range of people and leading a team. You’re also highly motivated and pragmatic, with strong attention to detail and the ability to stand back and see the bigger picture.
If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!
What we offer:
In return for your commitment, we offer a great reward package, which includes generous annual leave entitlement and pension scheme and a staff rewards programme, as well as flexible working arrangements and great development opportunities.
We’re always looking for talented people from all backgrounds, to join us.
