We are delighted to announce that for the first time ever Anglesey will be welcoming people to grab their glow sticks and light up the night by joining us for our Dark Run.

On the evening of Saturday, October 30 The Dingle in Anglesey will welcome runners, walkers and families for a 5k like no other.

The hugely successful Dark Runs have previously been held in Chirk and Telford have raised many thousands to support seriously ill children and their families, and this will be the first time North West Wales will have its own location for the run, which could make it a record-breaking event.

Kelly Hughes, fundraiser, said: “We’re extremely excited to be bringing the Dark Run to Anglesey. The Dark Run has always been very popular, with people travelling from all over, but now our amazing supporters in North West Wales have their own run.

“Numbers will be limited and we are expecting tickets for the Dark Run to sell out very quickly so get yours today to make sure you can be involved in this super family-friendly event.”

There will be prizes for the best fancy dress on the night, and everyone who attends will receive a goodie bag, a glow stick and of course a limited edition glow in the dark medal, sponsored by Kronospan and Schneider Electric.

“If you can’t make the night itself then we will still be holding a virtual Dark Run, so you can still sign up and be part of the fun, but on a route of your choice,” added Kelly.

As well as Anglesey the other two Dark Runs will be taking place at the same time at Chirk Castle and Telford Town Park.
