Anna takes on the ultimate winter fundraising challenge for seriously ill children

Whilst the majority of us will be over indulging at Christmas, one Tŷ Gobaith & Hope House supporter, Anna McGuire will be embracing the cold weather in training for an incredible Winter Challenge.

On the 5th January 2019, Anna will join many others for an Arctic running experience in the polar night! The Polar Night Half Marathon takes place in the middle of the day during the polar night and is Norway’s biggest winter race. The event will see approximately 2000 runners from all over the world push themselves to the limit as they run in the blue, Arctic light that is so special for that time of year, before the sun rises over the horizon.

As we all settle into the New Year, Anna will be travelling to Norway, 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle to run the half marathon in dark and freezing conditions to raise much needed funds for Hope House and Ty Gobaith.

Anna said “I decided to undertake this challenge so that I could raise as much needed money for an incredible charity local to me.”

“Please support my ludicrous attempt to complete this race and raise much needed funds for a great cause! All donations no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. I’ve covered the cost of the trip myself so every penny will go straight to Ty Gobaith & Hope House to continue providing vital services and support!"

Anna’s JustGiving page is: should you wish to give a donation towards her epic challenge.

Good luck Anna!
