Hope House Children’s Hospices is a centre of excellence for children’s palliative care ensuring every family facing the death of a child gets the very best care and support when and where they need it. We are recruiting for an effective leader to develop, lead and manage our therapy services comprising Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Play and Activities, Sibling Support and Pharmacy. Reporting to the Head of Care, you’ll first of all be passionate about wanting to help local children with life shortening conditions and their families. In addition to your excellent communication and people skills, you will be an innovator and take a curious, creative and collaborative approach to your work in order to transform and develop our therapy and therapeutic services, including the introduction of new specialisms to meet the holistic needs of children with life shortening conditions and their families. Your role as Therapies Manager will also involve working with The Head of Facilities to develop and enhance the hospice spaces to best meet the changing needs of children. As a registered health professional with the Health Care Professions Council, we will support you with clinical time in this management role to enable you to maintain your clinical competence and continue practicing your profession with a small caseload.
