Volunteer to chair our Safeguarding Steering Group.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Hope House Children’s Hospices, helping us strive to deliver our Vision where “No one faces the death of a child alone”.

Nowhere is volunteering impact more apparent than in supporting our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. By becoming volunteer Chair for our Safeguarding Steering Group, your extensive knowledge and experience of the legislation, guidance and regulations with regard to child and adult protection, along with your ability to manage a steering group, will help us to fulfil our objectives of coordinating, delivering and monitoring highly effective safeguarding practice. You’ll provide an independent and objective voice for Safeguarding across the organisation, challenging practices and procedures and facilitating clear decision-making on key safeguarding and wellbeing issues.

In return for your gift of time, you will gain a significant level of satisfaction from helping us to maintain exemplary levels of safeguarding practice across all our work, and ensure that our children and families safety and wellbeing is protected.

If you are able to work with sensitive and private information, enjoy facilitating meetings and would love the opportunity to utilise your safeguarding knowledge and experience then why not come and join us?

Please contact Jane Trevor, Head of Family Services, on 01691 672618 or email [email protected] for a chat about the role and to register your interest.
