A group of volunteers has been lending a helping hand to give our summerhouse at Hope House a makeover.

The group from Airbus in Broughton visited us recently to work with our maintenance team in recladding the summerhouse in our picturesque grounds so the children can use it to enjoy the nice weather.

Jim Rowlands from our maintenance team said: "The summerhouse has been in need of a little work and it was an amazing help to have the volunteers from Airbus with us to help.

"It is always great to have volunteers here helping us with projects like this which make the visits of our children and families so much more enjoyable."

Airbus is the latest group to visit us and help out with both the West Brom Building Society and Brewin Dolphin also recently visiting Hope House.

Our volunteering officer Lindsay Hughes said: "It's amazing to have volunteers back and able to help us out. From gardening and planting on the grounds to giving fences and benches a lick of paint, it's all been a big help in keeping our hospices looking amazing for when children and families visit."
