Great North Run The Great North Run is the UK's biggest half marathon on September 13th, with 57,000 runners pounding the streets of Newcastle. Taking part in this 13.1-mile run, you will start running over the iconic Tyne Bridge and finish along the seafront in South Shields. Shown live on the BBC, the Great North Run creates an incredible atmosphere and a very memorable day for all involved. Route Details Registration is free with a minimum sponsorship of £250 to be raised which will support us to care for local children and families. You will receive a bespoke Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith running t-shirt to wear with pride on the day, which you can get your name printed on for an extra cost. The minimum age on race day is 17. All finishers will receive a Great North Run T-shirt and finishers medal. *Please note: Free registration is valid until May 12th and you are agreeing to raise £250 minimum sponsorship by signing up for this event.
