It was a very special birthday for eight-year-old Billy Anders this year, who has decided to donate all the gifts to us.

Billy presents a cheque

Prestfelde School pupil Billy told his family he wanted the chance to help other children and decided to host a ‘Gel Blaster’ party for 28 friends, with all of the kind birthday gifts to be donated.

Proud parents Emma and Jonny Anders were more than happy to support Billy.

They said: “We have supported Hope House as a family in the past, which has led to family talks with Billy about the children and the families who rely on the charity to provide days of fun and laughter to bring everyone together. When Billy told us what he wanted for his birthday, we were more than happy to follow his wishes.”

Standing in front of friends and teachers Billy presented a cheque for £376 to our fundraiser Bekki.

She said: “We are hugely grateful to Billy and his friends for raising this amazing sum of money. A wonderful birthday gift from Billy to the children, who will look forward to sharing the fun that Billy had at his party in other ways. We all wish Billy a very happy eighth birthday!”
