Local staff from Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water put their best foot forward recently to support us.

On Friday 24th May, the team from Gwynedd set off on the 16 mile hike from Trefor to Tudweiliog on a sponsored walk along the Llyn Peninsula Coastal Path.

Along the way they also stopped at Morfa Nefyn beach to conduct a litter pick.

Expansion help

We are currently undergoing building work on a new extension at Tŷ Gobaith where children can be nursed at the end of their lives and their families can be looked after too.

Sian Pritchard, Dŵr Cymru Community Engagement Officer said: “At Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, every employee can dedicate one working day a year to volunteering activities.

“The team from Gwynedd took this time to complete the sponsored coastal path walk and beach clean for Tŷ Gobaith as we are proud of the work they do in the community.

“As a not for profit organisation ourselves, we are delighted to support local groups in this way and assist the hospice in its current expansion.”

Professional care

Our fundraising team leader, Andy Everley said: “We are thrilled that Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water chose to support us – especially at this time of development for us as we continue our mission to give families access to professional care and improve quality of life for their children.

“A huge thank you to all the team who took part in the hike and thoughtful beach clean and everybody who donated to the effort.”

The team have raised almost £700 with this activity and in time are aiming for a total of £3,500 to help with new care equipment.
