Following its recent refurbishment, our Shrewsbury Harlescott shop is extending its opening hours into the evening to give our supporters and customers more of a chance to ‘shop and drop’.

The shop on Lancaster Retail Park will be opening every Thursday in July from 9.30am to 6.30pm to give people a chance to either shop or drop off their donations a bit later in the evening.

Head of Retail Suzanne Cumming said: “We want to trial opening our shop a little later than normal to give customers that chance to visit us later if they want.

“The support from our customers at the Harlescott shop has always been brilliant, but closing before 5pm means a lot of people who would like to visit us after work to either have a browse or make a donation aren’t able to, and by opening later once a week we give people more chance to visit us.”

The first night the shop will open late is Thursday 6th July, and that will be repeated every Thursday throughout the month.

The shop will be open 9.30am to 4.45pm the rest of the week except for Sunday when it will close at 4pm.

“We look forward to welcoming customers both old and new to our wonderful Harlescott shop, which has recently had a makeover and looks fantastic,” said Suzanne.

“If you have any donations you would like to make, be it pre-loved clothing, accessories, gifts or homeware, then all you have to do is drop it off at the shop during opening hours and our staff will be on hand to help you.

“Our shops are still selling lots and lots of stock and raising money to support seriously ill local children, but we rely on the local community to donate items for us to sell, which is just as important as buying from our shops.

“When you donate, all the money raised from the sale goes towards helping local children and families so please pop into our shops with your donations. We will have donation bags available too so you can go home and fill them up ready to sell.”
