We were delighted to welcome the Lifelites charity back to Hope House for the donation of our sixth package of cutting-edge technology to help our children play and interact with their environment.

An interactive mobile magic carpet, an Eyegaze machine and inflatable sensory play tents were all included in the incredible £52,000 package, generously donated by Lifelites and their supporters. Specialist training was also provided for the Care Team.

This amazing technology will give all of the visiting children an opportunity to play games with their friends, communicate with their families and have lots of fun experimenting with creativity and control.

Our Chief Executive, Andy Goldsmith, thanked Lifelites for their on-going support for Hope House, and also paid tribute to the organisations that funded their work, including the Shropshire Masonic Association: “This state-of-the-art technology is amazing because it empowers our children to realise their dreams and enjoy so many different experiences that would otherwise not be possible for them. The opportunities it unlocks is invaluable in helping them to have the best quality of life.”

Lifelites is the only charity working with every children’s hospice service across the British Isles to enrich the lives of children and young people with life-threatening conditions and disabilities.

Rob Lightfoot, Chief Executive at Lifelites, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Hope House. As the needs of the children and families using their services change and become more complex, Lifelites has responded by providing an extensive package of the latest assistive technology.

“With over 20 years’ experience, we know that these technologies will empower children and young people with life-limiting conditions to engage and interact with the people they love and enjoy the world they live in. We hope that this support helps them to create many joyful memories.”
