Staff at our supporters Lloyd Morris Electrical in Wrexham have raised £1,700 by taking part in a charity football match.

Two teams from the electrical engineering company, based on the city’s industrial estate, recently faced off at the Gresford Colliery Sports and Social Club.

The firm holds a charity football match every year and, on this occasion, chose to raise vital funds to support seriously ill local children.

A fantastic cause

Dafydd Thomas, Director at Lloyd Morris Electrical, said: “The work of Hope House Children’s Hospices is vital to our community and the money raised for them will be used to help care for seriously ill children and families. They are a fantastic local charity whose work should be commended.

“Lloyd Morris Electrical are proud to be able to support such a brilliant service and we hope to continue this partnership in the future.”

Cat Dowdeswell, fundraiser at Hope House, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Lloyd Morris Electrical for choosing to raise money for us at this year’s match.

“This was a great event and all the money will go to support seriously ill local children and their families.

“Without this amazing support, we simply wouldn’t be able to be here for those that need us the most.”
