A day of summer fun by the seaside will benefit our hospices.

On Saturday 10th August, members of the North Wales Model Engineering Society (NWMES) will be hosting a day of miniature steam and electric train rides around their beautiful track on Llandudno’s West Shore beach – with all profits from the day being donated to Hope House Tŷ Gobaith.

The event will run between 11am-4pm and the Tŷ Gobaith Tiger will be making an appearance.

Frank Simpson, of the NWMES said: “I’ve ordered the good weather and we’re looking forward to a great day where we can provide many rides to children and families whilst supporting this wonderful local cause.

“We’ll have both steam and electric locos out during the day as well as members’ models for the public to see.

“We’ve some new picnic tables for people to use and watch the rides and views from plus our new halt signs will be up.”

Thank you

The NWMES have over 70 members and have built up their site on Llandudno’s West Shore to a lovely attraction.

Fundraising team leader for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith, Andy Everley, said: “We’re very grateful to Frank and the team for once again thinking of us with their charity day.

“We hope many visitors and locals will come to enjoy this family friendly attraction and make the day a great success.

“Every penny raised on the day will help us on our mission to reach every child and family that need our care, respite, physiotherapy and counselling services.”
