Our super supporter Shaun Morris is taking on the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro.

On 6 July, he will begin his trek to the summit of Africa’s highest mountain, which stands at an impressive 5,895 metres.

Amazing work

The dad from Chirk, said: “Taking on Kilimanjaro is about more than reaching the summit for me.

“It’s an opportunity to challenge myself, step outside my comfort zone, and use that challenge to support an organisation that has a profound impact on so many families.

“When the climb gets difficult, I’ll be reminded of the reason I’m there and the people I’m hoping to help through fundraising.

“Hope House provides vital care and support to children and families facing incredibly tough circumstances.

“Their work brings comfort, dignity and moments of joy when they are needed most. By supporting Hope House through this trek, I hope to play a small part in helping them continue the amazing work they do.”

Good luck

Our fundraiser Bekki Fardoe said: “This is such a generous gesture and one of the toughest climbs out there.

“Every pound Shaun raises will go directly towards supporting local children living with life-threatening conditions.

“Good luck, Shaun – we’ll all be thinking of you.”
