Joanna Page Filming BBC Series In Our Shop What’s occurring? TV Actress, presenter and radio host Joanna Page stopped into our Llandudno shop while filming a new BBC daytime show. The series called Shift The Thrift involves two teams of contestants and experts scouring stores against the clock to find top quality goods to be sold for profit at high intensity live streaming auctions and is hosted by the Gavin & Stacey favourite. The teams found several items in our store including a designer handbag and a silver broach. Assistant Managers Tracy and Jo were on hand to welcome the film crews as well “Stacey” herself, who happily posed up for a photo in between filming links for the show in-store. Tracy and Jo, said: “It was a great day and really one to remember. “The crews and Joanna were all so lovely and we even helped-out with a bit of filming. “We’re proud of all our staff and volunteers for making the shop so beautiful on the day and glad the teams spotted some desirable items.”The BBC said: "Contestants are challenged to uncover charity shop gems, transform them with flair, and sell them in high-energy, live-streamed auctions. "From vintage bric-a-brac to upcycled denim, the competition culminates in the ultimate test of their selling skills, with profits going to the contestants’ charity shop of choice, and they’ll be guided along the way by avid thrifter Joanna Page."
