Over 150 revellers enjoyed a wonderful night supporting our hospices.

Hosted at Chester Zoo’s, The Square on the evening of Saturday 23rd March, our black tie Spring Ball saw guests treated to a four course meal, live music, dancing, raffle and an auction of lots including a once in a lifetime trip to a wild rhino sanctuary in South Africa and Formula 1 car driving experience in Monaco.

Kindly sponsored by Ellesmere Port’s Rhino Products, the evening raised a magnificent £28,000 with the 15 tables from generous supporters and businesses across the region bidding keenly in both silent and live auctions.

Stylish venue

Rhino Products are huge supporters of conservation work of Rhinos and so The Square was the natural choice with ball organisers Nicola Eyes and Andy Everley saying: “The venue and all our guests looked beautiful and we thank them all for their generosity.

“The silent auction alone raised a stunning £16,000 which will help ensure that we can continue to support seriously ill children and their families with care, respite and counselling services.

“An extra special thanks goes to Steve Egerton and Rhino Products for being our headline sponsor and helping to make the evening the great success it was.”

Our next ball will be an Arabian Delights evening at the Lion Quays Hotel on 15th June.
