The Wrexham-based business V4B Group has signed up to support seriously ill local children by making us its Charity of the Year.

Staff at the business nominated Hope House to be the charity of the year through a staff vote.

The company has already donated a Smart TV for one of the rooms at the hospice and is holding an event to celebrate the Coronation and raise money for the charity’s Eat Cake event which runs through the first two weeks of May.

Christine Roberts, Finance Assistant at V4B Group, said: “We are honoured to be able to support such an important local charity this year.

“By making Hope House our Charity of the Year we are able to give back to a charity that helps those in our local community.

“We are planning plenty more ways to support Hope House this year, and will be sending staff to the hospices to help out in any way we can through volunteering.”

Wonderful support

Our fundraiser Cat said: said: “It is such an exciting time to be involved with all things Wrexham and to have the support and goodwill from V4B Group is absolutely wonderful.

“The warmth and passion from the team when we visited was really encouraging and we look forward to a successful partnership with the whole team.

“With so many Wrexham families accessing Hope House for respite and end of life care, it’s so important that local companies understand the impact they can have on their community.

“The company have already sponsored one of our new Smart TVs which will facilitate independent viewing for our youngsters which is so valuable for them. We look forward to welcoming representatives from the business on their volunteering day and at our Open Morning in June.”
