Our friends at John Lewis At Home in Chester on Sealand Road have kindly chosen us as one of three charities to win a slice of £3,000 as part of the John Lewis and Partners Community Matters Scheme.

Community Matters

Community Matters is a charitable giving scheme that runs throughout John Lewis & Partners shops. The chosen organisation will receive either cash, products or volunteering time to value of their share of the £3,000 up for grabs.

Customers are directly involved in deciding how much each group receives by using a token to vote for the organisation they’d like to support.

The Community Matters boxes are located in cafes, restaurants or customer collection points in each shop and you can collect a green token and vote every time you shop. Voting takes place from February to April 2020.

Nicola Eyes, Hope House Fundraiser said: "We're delighted that John Lewis At Home, Chester have selected Hope House & Ty Gobaith to be one of their three chosen charities or community groups for the next quarter, February to April 2020.

We need to raise over £6 million each year to provide vital care and support to the seriously ill children and families who need us. This is only possible with the amazing support from local communities and businesses like the Chester John Lewis Store. We cannot thank them enough for choosing us as one of the lucky charities to benefit from the Community Matters Scheme, which we know will make a real difference to many local families, and for that, we are truly grateful.

The size of our donation will depend on the number of tokens we get in our Community Matters box. So, next time you are shopping at John Lewis At Home in Chester on Sealand Road don’t forget to collect your green token and please vote for us!"
