Our new Wrexham shop has been officially opened with some very special guests cutting the ribbon.

There was lots of cheering and applause as a queue of eager customers headed through to doors of the shop on Island Green to pick up a bargain and help support us.

The shop was opened by Kadie, Steve and Aymee Hope Jarvis from Ruabon, who were supported by Hope House when their seven-week-old daughter Isobelle died in 2018.

Steve said: “We’re proud to be a part of the new Hope House shop in Wrexham which will raise money for such an important charity.

“I can’t really put into words our admiration for the wonderful people there.

“Right from the start they offered unconditional support and help. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble and very often they did things for us without us asking or even realising we needed the help they offered.”

Also at the opening was Kerry Evans, Wrexham AFC’s Disability Liaison Officer who said she was “honoured” to be a part of the opening ceremony.

Local support

The charity’s retail area manager, Lindy Welch said: “We want to thank the people of Wrexham for the amazing support they have shown us.

“It was a pleasure to welcome the Jarvis family and Kerry from Wrexham AFC to help us celebrate the new shop opening.

"I would also like to thank the local businesses on Island Green that have supported us both with donations and with our opening.

“We are looking forward to seeing all our old customers here at Island Green, as well as welcoming lots of new ones.”
