Chester-based solicitors, Allington Hughes recently visited Hope House to present a cheque for their fundraising efforts.

Over the last year they have undertaken several activities including completing a gruelling 15-peak mountain hike and a car boot sale.

In June last year a team from the firm tackled the infamous Welsh 3000s walk through the Eryri National Park in what turned out to be atrocious weather conditions.

Chester area fundraiser for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith, Nicky Eyes was on hand to accept their cheque for £2,311 and show Steve Davies and Ceri Jones from the firm around the Oswestry hospice so they could see exactly where their fundraising was going.

Nicky said: “It was a pleasure to welcome them to the hospice and also to have supported them throughout their efforts.

“We are so pleased that all the team managed to navigate the Welsh 3000s safely, even though the weather was horrific for them.

“Without the dedication of fantastic teams like these out in our communities we wouldn’t be able to do what we do in supporting seriously ill children and their families.”
