A team of daring skydivers will be leaping 10,000ft from a plane to raise money this weekend.

Two of those jumping this year are our Social Worker Stephanie Pooley and Youth Worker Phil Evans who have decided to take on the jump at Tilstock Airfield on Saturday 20th April and have so far raised more than £1,300 between them.

They will be joining a team of amazing supporters who will take on the challenge, including Telford Holiday Inn Manager Hannah McKinnon.

“Having spoken to and spent time with lots of families since I started at Hope House in 2023 I have heard and seen first hand the positive impact the hospice has had on so many families in the local area and how important raising money is, said Phil.

Stephanie said: “I am petrified of heights so I must admit I’m pretty nervous about taking on a skydive.

“But if I was ever going to do something like this it would be for such a worthwhile cause, which Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith definitely is.”

Our fundraiser Bekki Fardoe said: "Good luck to all of our incredibly brave skydivers on Saturday. We will all be cheering you on from the ground and from the hospices."

Inspired to do something amazing? We have another skydive arranged for 28th September that you can sign up for.
