The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Public Affairs professional to work with both Tŷ Hafan and Tŷ Gobaith, who are collaborating to cultivate an all-Wales voice for the children and families who use our children’s hospices.

As the Public Affairs Manager you will be responsible for leading Tŷ Hafan and Tŷ Gobaith’s public affairs work and helping us to develop a supportive policy framework for the children and families that we care for.

Your role will involve influencing and responding to elected representatives, decision makers and key stakeholders from across the Welsh Government, Senedd and other public bodies. This position has the potential to make a significant difference to the lives of children with life-limiting conditions and their families in Wales. 

The successful candidate can be based at either hospice site, with hybrid working and regular travel between the hospices and the Senedd buildings in Cardiff. 

We are looking for someone who is persuasive with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of Government and is able to demonstrate the following:

  • Successful experience of leading and delivering successful political strategies and campaigns
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a public affairs role
  • Knowledge of the political landscape in Wales
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • A proven track record of successfully influencing for change.
