JCB raise money through rugby match Staff from JCB in Wrexham have scrummed down to raise more than £1,600 to support local children and their families. Workers from the JCB Transmissions factory on the city’s industrial estate recently played in a charity rugby match against the Wrecsam Rhinos Inclusive Rugby Club. The company said the event at Wrexham Rugby Club was aimed at raising vital funds to support seriously ill local children. Craig Weeks, General Manager of JCB Transmissions, said: “This was an excellent opportunity for JCB Transmissions to play a charity game of rugby against Wrexham Rhinos. “Although the Rhinos won the match, it was a hard-fought game with Transmissions leading at half time, but the Rhinos won in the end and JCB Transmissions are looking forward to a return match in 2024 and we will win the second game. “The big winner on the night was Hope House and the community of Wrexham, who came to support us and contributed to the charity total.
