A huge congratulations to our Bridgnorth charity shop team, who shone as part of Bridgnorth Carnival, even going on to win Best Float.

The Hope House shop team worked their socks off creating two amazing floats: one sparkling with all things Disney, and another with an historic D-Day commemorative land girls theme. They were joined by our Hope House hippo, as well as various superheroes and Disney princesses.

The carnival featured dozens of creative and colourful floats, making their way through Bridgnorth, cheered on by crowds lining the High Street before heading to the town’s Severn Park.

Despite the mixed weather, it was a glorious day, topped off perfectly by the Best Float win.

Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith charity shop manager Mandy Hill thanked everyone involved in the making the day so special.

She said: “The shop team worked tirelessly to create two stunning floats for the day. It was wonderful to be a part of such a fun community event. We were also delighted to raise more than £300 which will help local families who desperately need the care and support of Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices.

“Thanks to sponsors and supporters Jewson Bridgnorth, Greenhills Funeral Directors, LGM Limited, Paul Nicholls and Clive Millington who all helped to make our fabulous floats happen.”
