Thank you to members of Llansilin Church who presented us with a cheque for £316.82 raised through their Crown of Light campaign and Thursday Afternoon Group.

The annual Crown of Light campaign sees the striking square church tower of St Silin Church lit up to create a spectacular crown effect. Church visitors make donations to celebrate Christmas and in memory of loved ones.

Treasurer Anne Edwards said: “We’ve been lighting up the tower for 20 years now and are grateful to everyone who has given money towards local charities which mean a great deal to the local community. The money is topped up by weekly contributions made by our Thursday Afternoon Group.”

Hope House Fundraiser Vicky Bradbeer thanked the congregation of St Silin’s for their continued support over the years.

She said: “Llansilin Church have supported us since 1993 and have raised a total of £4,703.66 through fundraising initiatives including the annual Crown of Light campaign which has been running since 2010.

“Their ongoing donations means a huge amount to local children and families who use Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices, helping us to provide vital services including specialist respite care.”
